The secret to winning a pitch.

“I remember that from auditioning when I first started out. As nervous as you are when you walk into the room, you are not nearly as nervous as the producers and the director. They want to have that feeling that: ‘(sigh of relief) I won’t have to worry about that. He’s taken care of it. Unless you really believe it, they’ll never get that feeling.”

So said actor Hugh Jackman in a recent interview about his career.

Jackman could well have been talking about any business that pitches for or sells to clients.

Unless you really do believe you can do the job, and do it well, why be there?
